Fun with Friends

Our friends invited to the museum and we took a train ride.  Reed wasn't at all impressed , but Jimmy loved it!

We did a babysitting swap with friends and the boys had a good time wrestling, as always.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!

Our stake put on a musical, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.  It took a lot of time, but it paid off.  We had about 2000 attendees and a lot of the community loved it.

I was part of the ensemble, which meant I had no lines.  Thanks goodness!  But I sang and danced in a lot of the songs and I played the part of Vulgarian courtier, Toot Sweets Factory Worker, and Pinwheel vendor at the Fun Fair.  Fun stuff! :)

Drama is not really my thing, but I still loved making new friends and learning new things.  I'm glad for the experience and the memories!

Random

The boys love the train track.  Jimmy builds them and Reed destroys them.  It's a pretty good system.

Easter was not as picture perfect as we were hoping.  While everybody else has a beautiful family Easter portrait with their kids in their church clothes, we have one of our kids naked and screaming.  #momfail

We have started going to the Life and Science museum every week because the kids love it.  I got a quick picture of them at the Origami exhibit.

This was a picture of Reed saying "Book" for the first time.  He learned the word when he ripped Jimmy's Curious George book in half.  Needless to say, Jimmy is still mad about it.

For FHE, we reviewed General Conference by making tents and having them face toward the prophet. (Mosiah 2) The boys loved it and learned something. #momwin

Petting Farm

Here are some pictures of the fun part of the petting farm.  Jimmy and Reed loved the sheep, pigs, turkeys, chickens, horses, cows, and tractors.  Then he started crying when he saw a guy dressed up as a cow, so we had to leave.  These kids sure do keep me on my toes.  Never a dull moment!

Arboretum

We went to the arboretum on campus today and tried flying kites.  Jimmy loved to see his dinosaur fly!

Kiwi Crates

Jimmy loves his monthly Kiwi Crates.  This month we got a whole package about colors and he loved painting!  I was pretty impressed how well he did staying in the lines.

Last month, the kiwi crate's theme was on rainforests.  He decorated his own butterfly and a rainstick.
